This website is dedicated to providing timely and useful information for individuals over the age of 55.

Most of us have toiled and labored in professions that may or may not have been personally rewarding.
We have borne, raised and loved children that we have tried to give them the best life has to offer. For most of us, those children have gone on to colleges, trade schools, and professions that will be meaningful and useful in our society. There are some of us whose children are still making their way towards adulthood and a direction in life. But whether we chose to have our children early or late in our adulthood, we are still facing the prospect of changing our lifestyle and moving towards retirement. We, the over 55, are changing physically and mentally. Retirement or semi-retirement is approaching, which will bring about another big change, financial re-evaluation. This re-evaluation can come in the form of selling our homes, selling our cars and moving to a warmer climate for health and/or recreational purposes. Perhaps we have been planning for this for many years or perhaps we are just beginning to plan. There are many questions each of ou must answer ie., Where will we live?.. How will we protect our health?.. How will we have fun?.. can we still travel?.. and many more that are still probably unanswered by most of us. So we at Over55 are attempting to provide a resource to help answer some of these questions. This site will be continuously updated and modified.
